To Dee, who needs a reminder.

Milan Kundera, The Unbearable Lightness of Being. Page 8:
“We can never know what to want, because, living only one life, we can neither compare it with our previous lives nor perfect it in our lives to come.

There is no means of testing which decision is better, because there is no basis for comparison. We live everything as it comes, without warning, like an actor going on cold”

P.S. I’ll say it again: If we’re going to feel like crap, we’ll do it together while looking gorgeous.

  1. To Dee,

If you ever gonna read that book, Milan Kundera's wallow-land, make sure to do it in one go, unlike what I did.

Because by the time you reach the final chapters and have fallen in love with all his characters, you no longer would want to finish the book, because finishing it means that you have to break up with them.

I haven't picked it up since they (Tomas and his baggage lady) moved back to the countryside, where I'd like them to stay, forever and ever and ever...
